Learn the best way to prepare PASS before integrating with Firefly.
Ensure that all users have an email address. The email read from PASS can be Primary, Main or (in the case of staff) Internal. We can set up the integration to read one of those email types.For each user, Firefly will issue a password-setting link when they enter an email address that matches the one in PASS — they will need access to that inbox to log in for the first time. Firefly will also use that address when sending out notifications for tasks, messages and recommended pages etc.
- In the PASS toolbar, select Database > User Defined Field.
- Create a field called
AD Username(exactly) for both students and staff. You don't need to fill this field in, it simply needs to exist. Without this field, the integration won't work.
