Creating assignments

Create a page that mirrors an assignment or worksheet, then copy the page to a task description and mark submissions.

If you want to create an assignment or worksheet that can be reused and assigned to multiple groups of students, create a new assignment. Once your assignment is created, you can copy the page to a task description, and then assign that task to students.

  1. Select Create.
  2. Enter a page title.
  3. Select Assignment.
  4. Select Done. Your assignment page is created as a draft.
  5. In the editor toolbar, select Question.
  6. Choose a question type:
    • For multiple choice questions, choose Add Choice to give a selection of answers for students to choose from. Remember to tick the correct answer.
    • For text (line) questions, choose Add Answer to add all possible answers.
  7. OPTIONAL Adjust the mark weight or tick Mark manually.
  8. OPTIONAL Enter an explanation that will be shown to the student after marking.
  9. Choose Done to add your questions to the page.
  10. Select Publish.

Your assignment page is published. You can now select Copy Page to Task Description at the bottom of the page to copy the assignment into a new task for students using the page you created as the task description.

You can also set class tests and revision tests to students.
