Setting content permissions

Restrict the visibility of content on a page to specific users or groups.

  1. In edit mode, select the component you want to set permissions for. In this example, we'll set permissions for a file list.

If you want to display text to only certain users, use a Text Box component.

  2. Choose the permissions icon.
  3. Select X next to the users or groups you want to prevent from seeing the content. In this example, I only want staff to see my content so I'm removing parents and students.
  4. Select Done.
  5. Select Publish or Done.
  6. Check that the results are as intended.
I'm logged in as Terry Teacher and I can see the file list.

When I view the site as Sally Student, I don't see the file list.
